Follow the steps below to understand the audition process, registration, and how to represent your country in the Official Talent Olympics.
Step One – Discover the Audition Process in Your Country
Inquire About Auditions in Your Region
The first step in participating in WCOPA is determining how auditions are conducted in the country where you reside or hold citizenship. Each country has its own process, and it’s important to understand the guidelines specific to your region.
Use Your Legal Name
When completing the form, make sure to use your legal name as it appears on your birth records. This is essential for official documentation and correspondence.
Submit a Video of Your Talent
As part of the inquiry, provide a link to a video showcasing your talent. Whether you’re a singer, dancer, actor, or instrumentalist, make sure your video represents your best work. You can easily upload your video to platforms like YouTube and include the link in your inquiry.
Step Two – Audition Review by National Director or Selection Committee
How Your Audition is Evaluated
Once you’ve submitted your inquiry form and audition video, the next step is the review process, which depends on your country’s guidelines.
Online Auditions Accepted
If your country accepts online auditions, your video will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. The committee will assess your performance and decide if you qualify to represent your country at WCOPA.
In-Person Auditions
If online auditions are not accepted in your country, the National Director will notify you about upcoming in-person auditions. These auditions may be part of national competitions, and the director will provide details on how to participate.
Notification of Acceptance
Once your audition has been reviewed, you will receive an email regarding the status of your acceptance into WCOPA. Whether your audition was reviewed online or in person, your National Director will guide you through the next steps.
Step Three – Registration and Cost Overview
Registering for the World Championships of Performing Arts
Congratulations! If your audition is accepted, you will move forward with the official WCOPA registration process. The National Director for your country will assist you with all necessary details.
Registration Guidance
The National Director will walk you through the registration steps, providing you with an Official Handbook that outlines the guidelines, event schedule, and competition categories for the nine-day event.
In-Person Auditions
The National Director will also explain the costs associated with participating in WCOPA, which may include:
- WCOPA entry fee
- Extra competition events
- Badges for companions
- Country team uniform
- Travel and lodging expenses
It’s important to review the handbook and have a clear understanding of the costs before completing the registration process.
Parental Consent for Minors
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to sign the Official Registration Form on your behalf.
