WorldStars BOOT CAMP! The DANCE Line-Up

Welcome to WorldStars Boot Camp 2012!

What you are going to experience at WorldStars Boot Camp is both amazing and extremely important in building a successful career in show business.  WorldStars has brought together the top instructors/performers in Hollywood to train you in dance, acting, music and modeling.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so work hard and enjoy. 
 
How it Works:
There are 4 training tracks you may choose from: Dance, Acting, Music and Modeling.  You have the choice of taking workshops in different tracks or taking all the workshops in one particular track, whatever best suits your training needs. The much-anticipated "WorldStars Boot Camp" is exclusively for attendees at the 2012 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) and is not open to the public.

Dance 

Kenya Clay"Hip Hop Moves and Attitude"

Learn the latest Hip Hop moves before you see them on stage, TV and in film. 
 

"Mock Music Video Audition"

Learn what really happens in a music video audition!  Learn what to expect when you walk into a "music video casting."  Where to stand while being taught the dance combo, what to wear and how to work the casting directors along with the camera.

Bio:    After graduating from high school, Kenya Clay began training at the internationally known Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, CA and now she is a Millennium Instructor. Kenya's dance credits include Glee, How I Met Your Mother, Black Eyed Peas, Mary J. Blige, TaTu, M.C. Hammer, The Grammys, MTV Movie Awards, MTV VMAs and Super Bowl. She was also featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew (first season), with her all girl crew Fysh N' Chicks (Rainbow Fysh).  She was also Associate Choreographer for the Pussycat Dolls "Doll Domination" project as well as Girlicious, Paradiso Girls and NMD.

TOKYO"Hollywood's Latest Contemporary Dance Scene"

This contemporary dance class will teach you the latest styles and technique.  Learn the moves of top contemporary dancers in the industry.
 
Bio: TOKYO is well trained in martial arts and dance.  He has taught master classes and choreography in the US, Canada, Australia, Central America, France, Poland, Ukraine and the U.K. for many studios, companies, colleges, casinos and Cirque Du Soleil. TOKYO is returning from France where he choreographed the largest musical production in France's history, Adam et Eve. In addition, during his time in France, TOKYO choreographed and directed several music videos and TV shows. TOKYO recently choreographed several pieces for SYTYCD-Ukraine. TOKYO is currently on faculty at the world renowned professional dance studio Millennium Dance Complex.

Justin Kopplin"Musical Theatre Rehearsal"

All Boot Camp participants Welcome! Become part of the spectacular production number "Hand Jive" from the hit musical "Grease" to be performed at the WCOPA Awards Ceremony.  Two rehearsals during the week will be required.
 
Bio:  Justin Baltodano Kopplin has been performing since he was five years old.   Favorite performances include the tour of Disney's High School Musical, The Kennedy Center: "Grand Hotel" which won Best Show of The Year, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Macbeth,, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Cinderella, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Three Sisters, The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Look Homeward Angel, Tartuffe, and Into The Woods.   Justin has directed and choreographed the followingshows: The King and I, Camp Rock, Disney's High School Musical, Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, and Narnia...The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.

 

Victoria Morris World Championships of Performing Arts“Learn How to Audition for a Dance Career”  Practical Audition Skills

This is a full dance workshop where you will explore the wild and wooly world of auditioning for film, television and theatre.  These strategies will keep you focused and free during those pressure packed auditions. What do I wear? Should I be union? What if I don’t have an agent? These are the questions we will answer and many more as we break down the tried and true strategies to getting the job!  Please be prepared with dance attire, including dance shoes!  This is good hands on preparation for your dance audition for WCOPA.  Be prepared also to learn new choreography on the spot and perform it!
 

 Bio:  Victoria Morris is Senior VP of Theatrical Representation at Kazarian/Spencer/Ruskin & Associates with offices in NY and LA.  Victoria is a former dancer and served as one of the entertainment industry's first dance agents in Los Angeles. She represents  directors and writers in Los Angeles and New York City.  Currently she has clients starring in Spider Man, Jersey Boys, Wicked and Sister Act on Broadway. The KSR Equity Division is one of the premiere talent departments in Los Angeles that has a fully staffed bi-coastal department concentrating solely on the representation and grooming of actors and "triple threats" for Broadway and regional stages, as well as developing talent for film and television in New York. Victoria represents former American Idol star from Justin Guarini and choreographer Spencer Liff of So You Think You Can Dance, Jason Gilkison of Dancing With the Stars and Burn The Floor, Ricky Hinds, associate Choreographer of the Broadway production of Newsies, and Edgar Godineaux, associate choreographer on the upcoming Broadway production of Flashdance.
